The month of Ramadan has approached us again, we are all grateful to accept the blessings of this month of Ramadan 2020. The world is suffering from a serious pandemic – Cronovirus (COVID-19). It is with regret the month of Ramadan falls at the same time of year as many people are staying at home or working from home.

All mosques and places of worship including the holy cities of Makkah and Medina are closed to the public. However, this does not stop us from carrying out our duty to the Almighty, ALLAH swt. We must continue to strive in these difficult times and perform our duty to the Almighty. This is same for all other religions around the globe.

The mosques in Reading are currently closed for daily prayers and will also be closed for Taraweeh Prayers during the month of Ramadan this year. Please take this opportunity to perform your prayers at home and pray for the recovery of this deadly virus which has sadly caused many deaths around the world.

Support is available for the community should you have any questions. You may contact the Masjid via email on contact@readingmosque.org.uk. We will do our best to answer as many questions as possible. Your prayers at this time are very important for a swift recovery, hoping everything returns to normal life and the Mosques are open for daily prayers and children classes.
